Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships

The fellowship program was developed to encourage the writing and study of poetry. Students enter their work in a poetry competition, and winners of the fellowship are awarded $25,800. To be eligible, students must be between 21 and 31 years of age and plan to use the money for further study of poetry. Submissions are accepted from March 1—April 30, 2015.

Education Matters Scholarship

In order to be eligible this scholarship, students must write an essay about why education and the college learning experience matter. Eligible students must be residents of the U.S., currently enrolled in college, and must complete a profile with ScholarhsipExperts.com. The award is $5,000. No specified submission date. The winner will be notified on February 28, 2016.

Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship

To be eligible this scholarship, students must submit a survival plan in the event their school was overrun with zombies. Eligible students must be residents of the U.S. and currently enrolled in college. The award is $2,000. The deadline is October 31, 2015.

All About Education Scholarship

Students can apply for this scholarship by writing an essay about how the $3,000 prize will make a difference in their lives. Eligible students must be residents of the U.S., currently enrolled in college, and complete a profile with ScholarhsipExperts.com. The deadline is July, 31, 2015.

National Grid Public Service

The Samuel Huntington Public Service Award is a $15,000 stipend for a graduating senior to pursue a year of public service anywhere in the world. All graduating college seniors are eligible. In order to apply, students must develop a proposal for a public service project for implantation in either the U.S. or the student’s country of interest that furthers the public good. The project can be done alone or through established organizations. The deadline is in January every year.
