An Afternoon with Steve Dalachinsky, Daniel DeLucia, and The Poetry Center

Steve Dalachinsky is a native of Brooklyn and one of the last “beat” poets in America. His work has appeared extensively in journals both on and off line. He is included in such Tuesday anthologies as Beat Indeed, The Haiku Moment, Up is Up But So is Down: NYU Downtown Literary Anthology, the Unbearables anthologies: Help Yourself, The Worse Book I Ever Read, and The Big Book of Sex (of which he is a co-editor) and the esteemed Outlaw Bible of American Poetry. He has done collaborative projects with photographers and jazz musicians. He is a recent winner of France’s prestigious Chevalier award in arts and letters.

Jazz Pianist Daniel DeLucia is currently in his third year at LIU Post. He is an Instrumental Performance major with a concentration in Piano studies. He studies privately under the direction of Professor Stephanie Watt. Daniel is currently a member of the LIU Post Sonic Pioneer’s Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, and the LIIU Post Chorus. Aside from playing piano, he also enjoys playing classical guitar, as well as bass guitar with fellow musicians, Michael Themistocleous and Joseph Oliveto.
